FREE Fitness Tip Videos #26, #27, and #28, 30 Days to Lift Away the Stigma

Welcome back everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you got to spend some extra time with loved ones.

I know I did and I enjoyed every minute. This morning our real [FIT] life’rs were back to training after two days off. I know that lot’s of other gyms stay open through the Holidays but the truth is, if you’re working out consistently most of the year, it’s okay to take some time off here and there to enjoy other aspects of life like family, holidays, and vacations. It’s about balance and enjoying everything life has to offer minus the guilt.

Now that I’m back I have a lot of work to do to get everything ready for our Lift Away the Stigma Circuit Training Marathon, THIS Tuesday, November 28th, from 4-8pm at our real [FIT] life Gym in Albany, NY.

We are accepting registrations right up to the very last minute and you can even register at the door. Please join us for this Amazing 30 Minute Circuit Workout that is “Challenging yet Doable” for EVERY Fitness Level.

100% of the money you donate goes to the Mental Health Association in New York State, Inc. and their campaign to Take Away the Stigma Surrounding Mental Illness.

Mental Health Fact #26: As the number of older adults doubles over the next two decades so will the number of older adults with mental disorders. This includes 5.5 million older adults who currently have Alzheimer’s disorder or other dementia. Without advances in prevention, this will rise to 11 million older adults with dementia by 2050. (MHA-NYC)

Mental Health Fact #27: Funding mental health services and translating research findings into practice is a worthwhile investment that improves the lives of individuals and their families and reduces overall costs to the healthcare system. (MHA-NYC)

Here’s Fitness Tip #26 and #27 of 30 Days to Lift Away the Stigma: Glute bridge and Eccentric hamstring slide and curl. Both of these exercises are great for strengthening the glutes and the core.

Mental Health Fact #28: Treatment works. There are effective, evidence-based and state-of-the-art interventions that can improve the quality of life of individuals. (MHA-NYC)
